Leash N’ Wellness LLC was founded by Carrie Distefano, a long-time pet owner and expert who has spent the last three decades working and living with pets. Carrie started her career working in animal shelters training dogs to be well-behaved and home ready.
CARRIE DISTEFANO, OWNER
I grew up in Montclair, NJ and have owned many pets, including dogs, cats, birds, fish and rodents. At age 11, I began volunteering at Paws animal shelter caring for and training dogs to be ready for their new family. I saw many animals with numerous ailments at the shelter and helped treat them by administering shots and medication as well as providing love and affection so they could be healthy enough to be adopted. I have a wealth of knowledge when it comes to pet health and well-being and am excited to share this knowledge and my services with you.
I always dreamed of opening my own pet wellness company and the COVID pandemic gave me the push that I needed. I opened Leash N’ Wellness so people could turn to someone that they can trust with their pet needs, including dog walking, pet sitting, coaching and adoption. I love all animals and I will care for your pets as if there were my own.
